As you may know, making a film is a massive undertaking and can be very expensive. Some films cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make and can leave a person wondering... How the heck did that movie cost so much to make?
There are challenges and obstacles to overcome with making this film. Our goal is to make a Hollywood-grade short film that's realistic and beautiful cinematically from beginning to end. In order to meet the criteria of that statement it has to meet some of the following.
First and foremost, It's a film so it must to be entertaining!
- The story has to be great.
- The acting has to be breathtaking and the actors have to pull you into their world.
- The cinematography has to be flawless and the film has to be visually stunning, the exact same can be said for the lighting and sound which all work in direct conjunction with one another.
- The visual/special effects need to be 100% spot on and look terrifying and as real as if you were there.
- Editing, sound design and color has to be seamless.
Now we've all seen films with budgets topping millions of dollars that have has less than perfect acting as well as poor special effects. whether it's because the film was older and technology wasn't yet available or it's simply how it turned out because of the decisions that were made. Etc.
What we can probably agree on is that just because a film has a big budget doesn't mean it's going to be great and just because a film has a small budget doesn't mean it's going to be bad. But making a low budget film look like it has a large budget is absolutey no easy task. Everything costs money so you have to be pretty skilled as well as creative to be able to pull it off.
That is why we need your help. A solid film is not made on desire alone. it's going to take some capital if we want to make a great looking film with all of the necessary components... especially if you want to cut someone up and eat them! Every dollar you donate will go directly into the making of the film.
