OF FLESH AND BONE

The film opens with a graphic and disturbing scene of a naked girl, bound and chained to the rafters in an old tattered barnwood shed. She's broken and terrified. We have no idea who she is or how she got there. She softly cries and whimpers and it looks as though she's barely clinging to life and holding onto any remaining hope for survival.

 

An unknown figure appears.

 

He's yielding a chainsaw, ripping at the throttle and taunting the girl. She is helpless... she knows that this is the end of what has been a terrifying and traumatic experience for her. Still she pleads for her life with every bit of strength she has left.

 

The chainsaw dies. The figure becomes angry... he grabs a handsaw and goes straight at the girl, ending her life.  

 

Next we see Annie and David. They are laying on a blanket, having a picnic outside in a beautiful wooded and secluded setting on their third date. As they flirt back and forth with one another while still getting to know eachother, you can't help but get the feeling that perhaps David is the killer seen in the beginning of the movie and that Annie's life may be in danger.

 

David comes onto Annie stronger than she'd like, creating a little discomfort... Right as things become heated a figure appears above the two as they struggle with eachother on the ground. They both stop, look up... The man cracks David on the head with a piece of wood. He is knocked unconscious.

 

David awakens chained up in the very spot we seen the girl chained up in the opening scene. Naked, afraid, and confused... his vision starts to clear. He sees 3 people in front of him. It's mother and her two sons. Mother politely introduces herself and calmy explains to David his situation. That he has no chance of escape and that there is nobody for miles to hear his screams. Any attempt to fight or escape will only increase the terror and the pain that he will experience. David looks around the creepy shed and sees items of torture... saws, blood, and plastic and fear truly sets in. Just as David starts to worry about Annie he sees her and realizes that she has set him up and that he has fallen into what has been a planned trap for him all along!

 

In the rest of the story we will see Annie's dysfunctional relationship with her mother and two brothers, as well as the time spent between Annie and David as she explains his situation and her feelings for him. David will do anything to be set free and survive. Can he convince Annie to help him escape? You'll have to wait and see how the rest of the story unfolds!
